Farm toy lovers and collectors are coming together this weekend at the Nicollet County Fairground's.

It's been an area tradition for more than 30 years.

Goettl says, "Everyone's been involved in this for years so it's kind of like we're all family."

What started off as two people collecting farm memorabilia, turned into an annual tradition...Louie's Toy Box Toy Show. The attraction hosts more than 40 vendors from the five–state area.

Donna Goettl, part–owner of Louie's Toy Box says, "We were at a fair one time and we just loved it, so we started collecting. Well, he kind of went overboard for collecting so then we decided we better sell some of it. It doesn't fit in our house anymore."

Louie's Toy Box is an online store based out of Eagle Lake that specializes in model and toy tractors.

Collecting farm toys is a hobby not only for the young, but also for the young at heart.

Goettl says, "It's for everybody. We have from two on up, you might say. We have the pedal tractors for the little ones and then we got the older things for the older ones, the collectibles."

Vendors anticipate close to two–thousand farm–toy enthusiasts to visit throughout the weekend. They say it's more than just a hobby.

Lyle Schultz, long time Toy Show vendor says, "It's all fun, it's a hobby, but it's all fun. We enjoy meeting a lot of people. We have a lot of customers, year after year that come back and it's fun to see them again."

A fun event for the whole family.

The event ended tonight at 5:00 p.m., but will continue tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 in the afternoon.
