Friday marks Three Eagles radio stations' 15th annual Saint Jude Radiothon.
D-J's did two straight days of 12 hour broadcast shifts to raise funds for childhood cancer research at the Children's hospital.
The goal was to surpass last year's total of just over $45,000. Which they did with a grand total of $46,379.
Jess Wenk of Country 103.5 is in her ninth year participating in the event and says it is great to see the community get behind a cause that means so much to her.
Wenk says, "No family ever pays St. Jude for any of the treatment they receive there. All of the research and findings is shared freely with hospitals including Mayo Health System here locally, so it's exciting to see people, get behind something that is such a great place."
