Food of the Future: Bugs?

A Colorado man buys crickets raised for human consumption from a farm in Louisiana, then bakes them.

Bugs are a low fat, protein dense main ingredient for his energy bars that come in a variety of flavors.

Patrick Crowley says at first friends thought he was nuts, but now he's busier than ever.

Folks are curious.

For example, as a food, insects use up far less water than other sources of protein, like beef.

It's a fact that folks in 13 countries eat bugs for protein.

And despite FDA efforts, we eat bugs every day because they're milled into our flour.  

Most cinnamon, chocolate and cereal have invertebrate legs, wings and parts.
