Usually when most people think of Mardi Gras they picture it being on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, but today Mount Kato held their third–annual Fat Tuesday celebration.
It was a perfect afternoon to hit the slopes, and the ski hills were very busy.
Organizers say each year the Mardi Gras event gets bigger and better.
Jeff Putrah, Mount Kato's general manager says, "It's fun, we do anything we can to have some fun and make it more exciting and more interesting for our guests and that's kind of what our plan is just to have a good time."
Some of the fun included a cupcake eating contest, helmet decorating and live music.
The party ends at 8:00 p.m.
