Update: Crash Shuts Down Highway 22 at County Road 90

Update February 25, 2014: The State Patrol says a Ford Super Duty was traveling south on Highway 22 when the second vehicle traveling east on county road 90 pulled out in front of the truck.

The trucks driver swerved to miss the car, but they collided in the intersection.

The driver of the truck suffered no apparent injuries.

16-year-old Elizabeth Eccles was taken to MCHS - Mankato and her 14-year-old passenger Aliyah Eccles, was flown to St. Mary's hospital in Rochester with a non-life threatening head injury.

Original Story: A crash shuts down a section of Highway 22 after an accident at the intersection of county road 90 around 4:45 this afternoon.
 
Troopers with the Minnesota State Patrol are still investigating the crash, but list the vehicles involved as a Ford Super Duty, traveling south on Highway 22, and a Saturn LS1 traveling east on county road 90.

The driver of the truck suffered no apparent injuries.

The 16-year-old driver of the car was taken to MCHS - Mankato and the 14-year-old passenger was flown to St. Mary's hospital in Rochester.

The state patrol website says both sustained non-life threatening injuries.
