Defense Wants Access to Med Records in Death of Adrian Peterson's Son

An attorney for the man charged with killing the 2-year-old son of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson last fall says prosecutors have been too slow to provide relevant medical records.

The Defense attorney for 28-year-old Joseph Patterson wants a judge to order prosecutors to speed up the release of medical information including CT scans and digital images of injuries suffered by Tyrese Ruffin.

The Prosecutor says any delays in the release of the medical information aren't intentional.

The defense says they need the information to adequately defend Patterson, who faces an October trial on several charges including second-degree murder.

Patterson was the boyfriend of Tyrese's mother.

Peterson had just recently found out that Tyrese was his son when the boy died last October.
