Gaylord Man Facing Charges After Road Rage Incident

Posted: Updated:

A Gaylord man is facing two felonies after an alleged road-rage incident in Sibley County.

According to court documents the incident occurred last Friday just east of Winthrop on Highway 19. The criminal complaint says a semi driver had to swerve to the shoulder when a car came in to his lane. The same car allegedly passed him later on and then slowed and stopped in front of his truck. The complaint says Oftedahl got out of his semi and was punched in the head by the other driver who authorities say is Gary Janckila. Authorities say when the semi driver went to get the license plate of the car, 49-year-old Janckila drove off and ran over the man's leg.

Janckila is now facing two felony assault charges and is scheduled to appear in court on March 20th at 11 AM.
