How do you fix over-plucked eyebrows?
Well-shaped eyebrows frame your whole face, but if you’ve tweezed out too much, don’t panic! Try these beauty tips and tricks to get your brows back in shape.
First, decide what kind of look you’re going for, and then use the right product.
For a softer, less defined eyebrow, a brow shadow is best -- this can be a good choice if you have very dark hair or eyes. If you prefer a controlled, defined look, use an eyebrow pencil or gel.
Whether you’re using a brow shadow or pencil, choose a shade one or two tones lighter than your hair color, depending on how dark it is.
Fill in any bare spots with light, feathery strokes (never a harsh line!), following the direction of the hair. Then use the shadow or gel in short strokes to fill in the arch. Work slowly and check in the mirror as you go to make sure your brows look natural.
Eventually, your brows will grow back in, but they may not be as thick as before. To avoid future problems, I recommend visiting a professional brow shaper, then following her advice for touch-up maintenance.
If you prefer to do it yourself, use the outer bridge of your nose as a guide: Use a pencil to mark an imaginary line between the outer bridge and the outer edge of the pupil of your eye; the highest part of the arch should be just above the outer edge of your iris.
