The Nobel Conference kicks off this week at Gustavus Adolphus College.

But students in Eric Koser's science classes at Mankato West got a special preview.

Nobel winner Harry Kroto, who is an accomplished chemist in England, shared his knowledge with the classes this morning....challenging the students to think beyond the status quo.

Kroto says, "And there are things that I think are very important for the future of the planet, not just to accept what people tell them, what politicians and others tell them or what scientists tell them or what they tell themselves and the validity and that's what science is all about."

The Nobel Conference begins tomorrow on the Gustavus campus.
