The Mankato Marathon is only two days away.

And while the runners will come from all over the country, one group from Mankato is running for a cause across the ocean.

Nearly 100 runners from Crossview Covenant Church have teamed up with World organization dedicated to bringing clean water to communities in Africa.

Christie Wills says, "Fifty percent of children under five in these communities are dying because of the bad water they are getting and if team World Vision can go to these communities and bring wells and bring them fresh water, these communities start to thrive and people live."

The group's goal is to raise $100,000.

So far they are at $75,000.

They will be competing in the race on Sunday.
