The Minnesota Vikings will arrive in Mankato on Saturday, July 25 for the 50th year of Vikings Training Camp. Visit Mankato, Minnesota State University, Mankato, Radio Mankato and many other representatives are making a push to welcome Vikings players, coaches and staff to Mankato in a special way with a welcome party event Saturday, July 25th from 10 am – 3 pm.
This welcome party will be located at the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus on the lawn adjacent to parking lot 11, by the Memorial Library. Visitors can park in Lot 4 (Visitor Lot) for free. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with the Minnesota Vikings before camp even starts on July 26. In fact, this welcome party event is the best day and place to score a Vikings autograph.
In addition to autograph opportunities, fans will also have the opportunity to meet Vikings Cheerleaders, play games, receive give-a-ways and enjoy food, beverages and treats. Radio Mankato will be on-site providing music, entertainment and games, while Pepsi will be providing product samples and vendors will have food available for purchase. Vikings Village games and activities will be available for the kiddos; bring the whole family for a Vikings-packed, fun, family day.
The more purple and gold pride fans show, the better. This is our chance to show the Vikings just how happy we are to have them in Mankato for their 50th training camp. In addition to billboards and special street banners, the Vikings will be welcomed by hundreds of employees and citizens wearing the official commemorative 50th Vikings Training Camp t-shirts. The t-shirts will be available for purchase at the welcome party event, along with a couple other events throughout training camp.
