In preparation for their first of five preseason contests, Saturday night, the Vikings held a late practice under the lights at Blakeslee Stadium. Over 10,000 fans were in attendance to catch a glimpse of their favorite players. The squad had a later start Sunday, with no morning walk-thru and an extended afternoon practice.
Vikings head coach, Mike Zimmer, said in a press conference Sunday that his focuses is to mold all around intelligent football players whose understanding of the game goes further than just their position. Zimmer makes a point to quiz players in meetings to keep them on their toes. The Vikings will be back on the field Monday morning from 10:30AM-11:30AM and 2:45PM-5PM.
