Greater Mankato United Way Inches Closer To Campaign Goal

Posted: Updated:

With just a few weeks left until the end of the year, United Way is inching closer to its campaign goal for the year.

The Greater Mankato United Way offers resources to families and organizations in need in southern Minnesota.

So far, United Way has raised around one million nine hundred thousand dollars, just over 70,000 dollars away from their campaign goal of one million nine hundred fifty thousand dollars.

Last year they didn't reach their goal, having around 250,000 dollars left to raise at this time a year ago.

President of United Way Barb Kaus said, "United Way brings the balance to our communities for basic needs–health and education and those three pillars are what need to be very strong in order to keep the community strong for all the businesses, the churches–the schools, individual activities with families."

The Greater Mankato United way will wrap their campaign at the end of the year.
