The W.W. Mayo House in Le Sueur is now in open season for tours.

Tours often have a theme or focus such as the herbs Doctor Mayo used during his practice, the house has an herb garden in the back and they grow herbs he often used to treat his patients such as thyme and catnip.

Site Manager Becky Pollack said, "He was a pioneer here in the town of Le Sueur back in the 1850's when he moved in, and our history is just so important. He went on to make the Mayo Clinic famous worldwide, and that is a big part of the history that built our state as whole."

Tours are available every Saturday from 10am– 1pm and last about an hour.
