Visit Mankato Welcomes Volunteers & Training Camp
During KEYC News 12 Midday, Joelle Bauman and Chris Willaert with Visit Mankato, stopped by to talk about volunteer opportunities and the upcoming Minnesota Viking Training Camp.
Visit Mankato is putting together a group to help visitors in the area. The I- KNOW Mankato Street Team will inform visitors at local events about the area.
Visit Mankato is looking for approximately 30 volunteers to help at events throughout the year. The ideal volunteer will commit to helping for at least one year and have knowledge of the Mankato area, night life, restauraunts or area activities.
It's that time of year, as we look to the return of the Minnesota Vikings Training Camp. For the 51st consecutive year, on July 28, the Vikings will make the southward journey to Mankato for team training camp,
The area can expect thousands to flock to the MSU Mankato campus as the Vikes take residence in student halls and practice in Blakeslee Stadium.
