NEW YORK (AP) - Kristi Toliver scored 32 points, hitting a WNBA playoff-record nine 3-pointers, to lead the Washington Mystics to an 82-68 victory over the New York Liberty Sunday. The Mystics will face the Lynx with Game 1 of a best-of-five series in Minnesota Tuesday night.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Jason Vargas snapped a personal four-game losing streak with his career high 15th victory, Brandon Moss homered and drove in four runs and the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 11-3. Moss had an RBI double in a six-run second inning and a three-run homer in the seventh.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Drew Brees and Sam Bradford are in the relatively awkward position this season of being the rare established NFL quarterback on a path toward free agency. They're at different stages of their careers with dissimilar track records, but they're both coming off remarkably accurate performances in 2016 for teams that didn't match their excellence. Brees and the Saints will visit Bradford and the Vikings on Monday night.

YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - An expansion project at an archery center in South Dakota could come down to the wire. The Press and Dakotan reports the National Field Archery Association's Easton Yankton Archery Center was represented at an entrepreneur meeting last month. Spokeswoman Nancy Wenande discussed the efforts to expand the facility as well as talk about the upcoming 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships. Officials hope the center is completed by the start of the archery championships in February.
