A longtime oddity, semi-trucks striking or getting stuck under the train bridge going over Highway 93 entering Le Sueur will soon be solved.
Crews from Union Pacific are in the process of raising it 14 inches.
Here at KEYC, the truck catching bridge in Le Sueur had built up quite the reputation over the years.

We tended to get a story a year out of it, as some unsuspecting driver would eye up the height of the bridge, assume he could make it, only to be trapped once he started going uphill on the other side.

But it happened far more than yearly.
Signs have been put up, warning of the problem, but they haven't worked. So Union Pacific is digging in, taking care of the problem the old fashioned way - by eliminating it.
