A Mankato police officer is injured after being bitten by a dog while responding to disturbance over the weekend.
According to the criminal complaint, an Uber driver called police to report a passenger had broken his phone and kicked out the windshield in his car.
An officer confronted the passenger,36-year-old Mary Boettcher, of Mankato, at her home.
During that confrontation, Boettcher allegedly commanded her dog, which weighed around 30lbs, to attack the officer.
Court documents say the officer was bitten in the legs five times by the dog.
Boettcher is charged with one count of fourth degree assault, first degree damage to property and obstructing the legal process.
