MN Child Care Grant Program Receives Funding

The Minnesota Child Care Grant program receives additional funding that will create an estimated 972 new child care slots.
Gov. Dayton and the Department of Employment and economic development have announced over $519,000 in grants for the program.
The funding is designed to increase the supply of quality child care providers statewide.
In our region,First Child Finance and the Southern Minnesota Initiative foundation in Minneapolis and Owatonna was awarded $75,000, the Lower Sioux Indian community in Morton, $90,000 and the Southwest Initiative Foundation in Hutchinson was granted $76,000.
