The Mankato MoonDogs baseball club will have a new look, a new feel and new ownership as they prepare for their 20th season of play in the Northwoods League this summer.

The Mankato franchise introduced their new five–person ownership group, rolled out a new logo and shared updates about the ongoing renovations taking place at Franklin Rodgers Park.  The Diamond Dreams, LLC ownership group purchased the MoonDogs from previous owner Mark Ogren earlier this offseason.

"From a fans standpoint what we really wanted to get was better opportunities to watch the game.  So you still have the grandstand and all the seating in the grandstand but pretty much everything else is new.  Brand new dog pound which people have enjoyed for years but new loft areas on top of the dugout, on top of the concession stands.  A brand new berm area for people to enjoy the games from out there too,” MoonDogs President Chad Surprenant said.

All of the enhancements to the ballpark are expected to be completed in time for the May 29th season opener.
