The New Ulm Police Department is asking the public to chime in as they work to implement body cameras.
The department received a large matching grant from the Department of Justice to fund body cameras.
The officers are hoping to have the body cameras in place and fully implemented as soon as possible, but first they're looking for input from the public.
Residents are invited to attend a public meeting on the matter January 22 at 6:15 p.m. at the New Ulm City Council chambers.
If you can't attend that meeting no worries, you can  still voice your opinion by simply contacting the New Ulm Police Department at 507.233.6750.
