Three Critically Injured In Nicollet County Crash

Three people are critically injured in an accident on Nicollet County Road 16.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 3:30 Thursday afternoon.

A preliminary investigation found the vehicle veered off the roadway and into the ditch before striking a concrete pillar.

Three of the four people inside the vehicle suffered serious injuries, the other was transported with minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

    The male suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. One officer was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems Fairmont Campus and was treated for minor injuries and released.
