Authorities in Le Sueur County are warning of unsafe ice conditions after a vehicle breaks through Lake Washington.
The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office says the car broke through the ice at Squirrels Nest Point just before 6:30 Friday morning.
Authorities say the front portion of the vehicle became submerged underwater after it crossed an ice heave.
They say the ice heave appears to run east across Bakers Bay toward the Connors Point area.
Both occupants, 22-year-old Jacob Swanson, of Mankato, and 23-year-old Daniel Pierce, of Faribault, were able to escape without injury.
