Employers and potential employees gathered at Country Inn and Suites today for The Minnesota Workforce Center Job Fair.

The event took place from 1–4:30 p.m. and featured employers in all different career fields from Mankato and the surrounding areas.

The goal of the job fair is to match employers with potential employees so they can make a good hire for a job.  It's a great space to network and find what kinds of opportunities are actually out there for employees.

"Job fairs are really important because it gives them an opportunity to actually talk to somebody from the human resource department and find out what's the application process because there are so many online applications now that finding a person to talk to is really difficult so a job fair is one of your only opportunities to find someone to talk to and ask about that process and ask any other questions that you aren't being judged in an interview," Recruitment Marketing Consultant Jen Strand said.

Plenty of opportunity was available as over 50 different employers took part in the Minnesota Workforce Center Job Fair.
