A human trafficking investigation leads to the arrest of more than 3 three dozen people during the week leading up to the Super Bowl.
Investigators with the BCA-led Human Trafficking Taskforce conducted a sting operation from January 26 through the weekend of the Super Bowl.
During that time, suspects chatted with undercover agents on several social media platforms. They were arrested after arranging to meet with an undercover officer.
Authorities say 36 people were booked on felony solicitation of a minor charges, and 7 people were booked on sex trafficking charges. Most are from the greater Twin Cities area.
14 women were also rescued from trafficking situations during that time span.
