Fairmont Police Offering Reward In Counterfeit Currency Case

Posted: Updated:
The Fairmont Police Department is offering a $200 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects passing counterfeit bills.
The department first issued a warning about counterfeit $20 dollar bills circulating mid-January and have since received even more reports.
Authorities say they've seen both 2006 and 2013 series fake bills within the last few weeks.
Business owners are reminded to verify the security features of every bill they receive from a customer.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Fairmont Police Department.
