Mail-In Voting for District 23B Election Nears End

Posted: Updated:
BLUE EARTH CO. Minn. -

The special election for Minnesota House district 23B takes place next Monday which means the window for mail–in voting is shrinking.

Voters who choose to use the post office to cast their ballots must have them delivered by Monday Feb. 12 to the Blue Earth County elections office.

Those signed up to vote by mail can also bring their ballots into the county's elections office and it will be valid.

Blue Earth County says the number of votes coming in by mail is increasing daily but there is little time left to ensure post office delivery by Monday's election.

"We're getting to the point where voters if at all possible should be considering bringing in that ballot just to make sure it's there," said Michael Stalberger, Director of Taxpayer Services for Blue Earth County. "There's still probably some time with the postal service, but we are getting close to [the deadline]."

Ballots can be dropped off anytime during the extended voting hours from now through Saturday and on election day for some.

Extended Election Hours:
8 AM - 4:30 PM (Thursday Feb. 8 and Friday Feb. 9)
10 AM - 3 PM (Saturday Feb. 10)

Blue Earth County Elections Office: 204 S. 5th Street, Mankato, MN, 56001,

For any questions, call the Elections Office at (507) 304-4341
