LE SUEUR, Minn. -

On the ice inside the Le Sueur Community Center, the Eagles looked to avenge its home loss last month to the Bulldogs.

New Ulm did not get off to a good start as Landon Strong gets penalized for this hit on Alex Wilson, earning him a trip to the box.

Already up a goal, Minnesota River cashes in on the power play as Danny McCabe hits a slap shot from right near the blue line to put the Bulldogs up 2-0 in the 1st period.

The Eagles had its chances as Sam Berg races into the zone and tries a backhand Kyle Domeier just misses off the rebound, but Nick Banal flies in with a slap shot. However Andrew Regner wasn't letting anything get by him, shutting out New Ulm in the 1st period with 11 saves.

The offense did more than enough though in this one as Ken Ringler grabs the puck off the faceoff and goes top shelf, 1 of 2 goals on the night as Minnesota River wins easily 5 to 1 and improves to 12-8-and-1 on the year.
