Minnesota's legislative session begins next Tuesday and North Mankato Representative Clark Johnson (DFL) has a few things he hopes to accomplish in his final session.

One thing Johnson want to do is affirm the contracts of state employees, this includes a yearly two percent raise for state workers.

He also wants to work to maintain the B–20 mandate for biodiesel, which he says benefits farmers.

This is Johnson's last session as state representative, but said he's ready to start.

"It's kind of a fun part of the year because we have to be ready," Johnson said. "This will be a short session, so I think we have a lot going on right from the get go. So I feel prepared, I'm ready to go at it."

Leading up to session, we'll hear what other area state legislators want to get done.
