Jarraff Industries in St. Peter broke ground on a new 20,000 square foot addition Tuesday afternoon.

The addition is part of a $3 million expansion that could bring as many as 30 new manufacturing jobs to the area.  The expanding jobs include engineers, welders, assemblers and diesel mechanics.  Jarraff Industries expects this expansion to nearly double their production in the coming years.

"We're going to be adding two additional manufacturing or assembly lines on the other side of this wall," Jarraff Industries Chief Operating Officer Steve VanRoekel said.  "Then additional warehousing and storage space.  We have recently signed an agreement to acquire the property next door which adds another 15,000 square feet which would be the home of our new parts and service department."

Jarraff Industries expects the expansion to be complete by the end of 2018.
