A good way to spend Mother's Day out of the house is visiting the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota.

The museum had a special today where one adult per party received free admission.

They also put creativity and problem solving skills to the test by having a tinkering workshop.  A tinkering workshop is designed for children to make something creative for a special person in their life.

"It's a special day to spend with your mother," said Museum Educator Karmy Luker.  "Either Moms can get a chance to breathe and let the kids run around or they can kind of create some memories getting to play and explore the children's Museum."

Luker went on to add that the museum has different kits the children can design or they can make what they choose.
