Change In Firewood Regulations At Minnesota State Parks
A state law that took effect in December, now bans certain firewood on all DNR land.
The effort is meant to prevent emerald ash borer and other diseases from being transported in firewood.
Approved firewood includes that sold at state parks or purchased from a vendor that is either non-ash firewood harvested and purchased from the same county, or firewood certified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture or USDA.
The DNR has a tool, where you can search for locations that sell approved firewood. Click here for more information.
