About 1,700 people will descend on North Mankato next month.

Coming up June 16th riders will compete in the North Star Grand Prix. The center of activity for the North Mankato stage will be South Central College. But spectators will have a chance to watch cyclists complete multiple laps of a 20 mile circuit throughout Nicollet County ending in North Mankato.

Also that Saturday 32 slow-pitch teams will kick off a two-day tournament returning to Caswell Park for the first time in 10 years.
"Had a lot of help with Nick Neilson with A & B Transmission team who really wanted to bring it back as well, so we've been working together to recruit a lot of teams who come here from Sioux Falls to St. Paul so it should be a lot of fun as well," Caswell Sports Director Phil Tostenson said.
Two team spots are still available for the tournament, registration closes June 8th head to https://www.caswellsports.com/slowpitch to learn more. Anyone interested in volunteering for the Grand Prix can visit, https://www.northstarbicyclefestival.com/s/volunteer
