The Sherburn citywide cleanup is taking place on Saturday to give residents a chance to throw away any unwanted household items.

Beginning at 8 a.m., community members will be able to line up behind city hall.

Three garbage trucks will be available to fill up until noon.

Residents are encouraged to stick to furniture.

Mayor Dorothy Behne said, "There are some things that they can't bring which are tires, pallets, oil that sort of thing. Any household; couches, chairs those sort of things can be brought."

The event is free, but you'll need a driver's license or utility bill to prove you're a Sherburn resident.
