Construction on the most traveled highway in south central Minnesota starts Monday.

Work on the six-mile stretch of Highway 14 from Highway 22 to Lookout Drive starts Monday morning. 43,000 vehicles travel the highway on an average day.

The construction project includes the resurfacing of sections of the road, along with repairs and upgrades to ramps, guardrails and pavement approaches to bridges.

The construction is expected to end in about a month, weather permitting.
