Greater Mankato is once again seeing a surge in year over year job growth, and the rest of the state is following suit.

According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, the state added 10,200 jobs in May.
Minnesota's unemployment rate fell to 3.1 percent-- the lowest level since July of 2000.
The Mankato MSA has gained nearly 1300 jobs within the last year, a growth of just over 2 percent.
