MANKATO, MN- Hundreds celebrate the end of Greater Mankato Area United Way's latest campaign.

Friday's luncheon showcased how the non–profit fared in 2018, recognizing area supporters along with hosting a leadership seminar.

Groups and community members across four counties (Nicollet, Le Sueur, Blue Earth and Waseca) also received awards for their support.

Friday’s keynote speaker was Ethan Casson, CEO of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx.

Casson says "We're never doing enough. I think there's some very supportive people, some very generous people, thoughtful people that are here this afternoon. If there's a take away, go back into your organizations. Continue to lead as best as you can lead, but also make sure we're doing everything we can to better our community, neighborhoods and region."

By meeting its campaign goal of $2,050,000, Greater Mankato Area United Way was able to help fund 57 regional programs.
