Martin County -- Do to the latest rain fall, the water levels in all Martin County lakes has raised to heights that could damage shorelines and property. 

The Martin County Sheriff's Office has issued the "Slow No Wake" that is in effect on all lakes in Martin County until farther notice. 

This is in place to minimize erosion of lake shores, city and private properties. 

The Sheriff's Office will be monitoring and reevaluating the lake levels to life the "Slow No Wake" as soon as possible. 

A "Slow No Wake" means operation of a watercraft at the slowest possible speed necessary to maintain steerage, but in no case greater than five miles per hour.
