Authorities respond to a report of two kayakers stranded on the Blue Earth River.
Police say 47-year-old David Frundt and a 16-year-old juvenile were kayaking on the river Saturday while it was in active flood stages with strong currents.
Officials say Frundt's kayak became lodged against a tree and he was unable to get free due to the current.
When crews arrived on scene Frundt was still clinging to the tree and had to be rescued.
The juvenile male made it to shore safely on his own.
Both kayakers were uninjured during the incident.
