Mankato's 2018 Spring Clean-Up Deemed A Success
Mankato residents didn't hold back on spring cleaning this year.
The city's annual Spring Clean-up resulted in over 400 tons of trash and 160 pounds of prescription and non-prescription medications dropped off.
Medicines and drugs placed in drop boxes are incinerated so they're disposed of properly and kept out of the community's water cycle.
City officials credit the relocation of this year's site to the Public Works Center, giving residents better access on Victory Drive and Hoffman Road.
