MANKATO, MN- Mankato Students for Equality and Indivisible St. Peter/Great Mankato partnered to hold a Families Belong Together Rally.

Hundreds gathered at Riverfront Park to peacefully protest policies such as family separation and zero tolerance.

This rally is part of a national campaign and promotes three main goals:  Reunite families now, end family detention and end zero tolerance.

“It’s been one person after another coming to volunteer and all the publicity, all the work that we’ve done putting into this, seeing this turnout so far, and not even everybody yet is absolutely incredible," explained Mankato Students For Equality Member Tatum Jahnke.

Jahnke added that she wants everyone to take action in their community and register to vote.
