MANKATO, MN- An elderly woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a three–vehicle accident in Mankato.

The crash happened at the intersection of South Riverfront Drive and Sibley Parkway just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Witnesses say an SUV rear ended another car which then hit a motorcycle as they were all approaching a red light.

The driver of the car, an elderly woman, was transported to the hospital complaining of neck pain while the rider of the motorcycle was able to walk away with a significant gash on his forehead.

The driver of the SUV didn't sustain any injuries and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Names and ages of those involved have not been released and Mankato Public Safety, Mankato Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted on the scene.
