Centenary United Methodist Church added its presence to the construction in downtown Mankato.

The site of Mankato's Holy Grounds community breakfast will begin an extensive remodeling of kitchen, commons and systems to better serve their daily guests.

Seeds for the project were planted in 2016 with a specific challenge:  How to best create an extravagant welcome for those they serve.

"Holy Grounds serves between 85–100 free breakfasts, guests for breakfast every day, Monday through Friday now for the summer," explained Senior Pastor Michelle Hargrave.  "So we're just moving that into another room.  We've set up an area where we'll be having more of a continental breakfast."

The completed project will include updates to the HVAC and technology systems as well as a new coffee bar.
