WASECA, MN- County fair season is upon us and beginning Wednesday, those in and around Waseca can experience a variety of rides, events, vendors and food.

Fair attractions include bull riding, a demo derby and enduro auto/compact car races over the next few days.

Dozens of vendors will also set up shop on the fairgrounds along with a carnival and plenty of food for visitors to enjoy.

There's also a brand new event for 2018.

Fair board member Kelly Martens says "New this year, we have the Ranch Rodeo. We're working with the Waseca County Sheriff's Posse to raise funds for the children's hospital and the Don Eustice Scholarship."

Fair secretary treasurer Robin Dulas adds "Tickets after 5 p.m. tonight can only be bought at the midway. However, wristband day is Friday afternoon from 1–5 p.m. and Sunday from 4–8 p.m. Those wristbands are $25 and can be purchased at the midway."

The Waseca County Fair conducted it opening ceremonies Wednesday afternoon along with opening up its rides.
