MANKATO, MN - ?The Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota has a new way to keep kids cool outside.
The museum unveiled their new shade structures that will cover the outdoor water play area.  The awnings are designed to be reminiscent of sails on a boat.  Several local businesses donated time and materials to make sure the kiddies have a cool place to play.
Deb Newman, executive director of the museum, said: "The Children's museum was community built and for us to have ongoing support from businesses like Jarraff Industries, it's critical to keep us and help us be sustainable."
The museum is open daily at 9am and admission is only $8.
