LEEP Legends Round The Bases At Franklin Rogers Park
The non-profit organization Leisure Education for Exceptional People held their annual LEEP Legends softball game.
This event is a celebrity fundraiser, featuring 26 of the area's well-known community members, including KEYC News 12's own Lisa Cownie.
The annual event raises funds for recreation and sports programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Greater Mankato region.
"It's just a great group of local community leaders that for a few months out of the summer can get to set aside their normal lives kind of hold off of that treadmill of life to meet some new people have some new experiences and really do it for a great cause and support recreation opportunities for those that don't always have a next season look forward to," LEEP Legends Committee Chairman Justin Day said.
Over 900 tickets were sold for the event. Plans are already in the works for next year's game.
