WINNEBAGO, MINN - Commuters going from Blue Earth through Winnebago will soon see some construction on 169
MnDOT met with residents in Winnebago to discuss the repaving and general improvement project which stretches from the north end of Winnebago to the south of County Road 6 near Blue Earth.

The project is scheduled to begin sometime around August 20 and end in October of this year.

No detours will be necessary but construction will reduce traffic to one lane in the rural portion and cause other closures in the city of Winnebago
"Urban section, there will be shoulder closures and lane closures." said Forrest Hasty of MnDOT. "We'll try to maintain traffic in each direction as much as possible. They'll still be able to get through there will just be some delays."
MnDOT says the project will cost an estimated $3.6 million and also includes lighting installation on county roads 10 and 6 along with Sidewalk accessibility improvements through Winnebago.
