Minnesota voters are on pace to set a record for early absentee voting participation--that's according to the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Minnesota voters have had the option of voting from home or "no excuse absentee voting" since 2014.
So far this year, over 29,000 absentee ballots have been received statewide.
Compared to this same time in 2016, early absentee voting participation is up more than 150 percent.
As the primary election nears, the Secretary of State's Office expects Minnesota to maintain its best-in-the-nation-status for voter participation.
