MANKATO, MN - The City of Mankato is sealcoating several residential streets and a few main roads.

Adams Street from Broad Street all the way to Victory Drive, and Bassett Drive from Highway 22 to Carver Road will be getting the treatment.  Most of the streets getting the sealcoating are residential streets throughout the city.  You might want to be careful about parking on the street.

Michael McCarty, assistant city engineer for Mankato, said: "At least 24 hours in advance, we will be posting temporary no parking signs.  So we ask that people don't park there overnight."

If you do happen to leave your car parked on the street, the city does have a way around it.

"If somebody's out of town or just can't make it.  We do have a towing contractor come tow them, we usually just pull them around to a side street.", McCarty added.
