Police say when they arrived at the residence in Mankato Monday a man, who was bleeding, directed them inside the home saying he was attacked by another man with a knife.

Police found 65-year-old Donald Straub being restrained by those inside the house.  Court documents say Straub was allegedly swearing profusely and using derogatory language. 

When authorities questioned Straub as to why he was at the home police say he answered quote "to kill Mexicans."

Straub was transported to the hospital by ambulance and according to the complaint has a self-reported history of mental health problems.

The conditions of the victims are not known.

Straub has been charged with 1st degree burglary and 2nd degree assault.
